How Does the Nervous System Affect the Plasma?

Rasa is Sanskrit for plasma tissue. Nutrients irrigate into the plasma and feed the seven tissues of the body.

The following explanation is from the science of Ayurveda.

What is the plasma? The plasma is the fluid portion of the blood it consists of 55% of the blood. Within the plasma, you will find water, nutrients, gases, hormones, waste, and blood proteins, along with the red blood cells, platelets, white blood cells, albumin, globulins (antibodies), and fibrinogen (helps the reduction of bleeding.)

What symptoms would occur if the fluid portion of your blood (plasma) starts to dehydrate? Even if a tiny percentage of the fluid is dehydrated?

Why would it dehydrate? Due to your nervous system being in a state of fight or flight or, you could say, anxiety. This is one example, the science of Ayurveda calls this vata, referring to the nervous system being agitated due to fight or flight.

Here are a few common prodromal symptoms ,name that ,because they start before the disease begins.

In the prodromal period of the symptom stage, we can make fluid and dietary changes to restore the body to health.

  • Dry skin

  • Dehydration

  • Sunken eyes

  • Weakness and tiredness

  • Black discoloration of the skin

  • Pain in the joints

  • Ringing in the ears

  • Numb skin feels like someone is pinching you.

  • The feeling of fear

  • insecurity

  • ungroundedness.

  • Changes in the plasma(Rasa)will cause the tongue to exhibit changes:

If there is a salty, bitter, or sweet taste in the mouth, the flavor on the tongue is changed due to plasma

imbalance.

Whatever taste you perceive on the tongue is what plasma is lacking: if you crave meat, there is a lack of protein, not that you need meat. For more vegetarian-type protein, you can combine veggies, grains, and beans you choose, you can refer to my book for vegetables, grains, and beans according to your Ayurvedic body type.

How does the nervous system affect your plasma? If you are in a state of fight or flight, meaning overstimulated electrical activity in the body, depending on how intense the fight or flight anxiety you are experiencing is proportionate to how it will begin to dry the body out, starting with all the natural fluids in the body, in this case, we are discussing the plasma. ‘this is what is called vata imbalance causing dryness in the bloodstream.

P.S. Here is the remedy:)

Ayurveda remedy for dehydration and rejuvenation of the bloodstream. To increase the fluid portion of the blood, also called the plasma. Ayurveda recommends:

one teaspoon of coriander seeds

one teaspoon of cumin seeds

one teaspoon of fennel seeds

8 cups of water

Could you boil the seeds and water and bring them to a boil?

Strain the seeds out.

add to the water 1/4 tsp of Manjistha

add to water 1/4 tsp of Anantamul (Indian sasparilla)

you will get eight cups and drink as many as you can daily, saving what you don’t drink for the next day.

Do this for four weeks to flush the plasma and clean the blood from “pollution” in the blood. And, of course, the effects of dryness.
